For all aspiring and current High School Thespians ready to shine on stage during the 2024-25 school year. Prepare for the ultimate journey to the Florida State Thespian Competition with our intensive week-long camp geared towards passionate performers and technical artists. The program focuses on developing Thespys from concept and design to execution. From selecting and refining performance pieces to honing technical skills, students will receive personalized guidance and hands on training to showcase the best of their abilities and training. Bonus! Spend quality time with One School’s new Theatre Director, Ms. Katie Corrie, as she works to empower our High School Thespians on successful auditioning techniques. Whether it be the One Act for competition, the High School Play, or the spring musical, all three auditions will require different approaches. We will focus on building confidence and honing skills to choose the perfect audition materials that highlight individual strengths. By the end of the week, participants will feel prepared, inspired, and ready to conquer their theatre experiences in the 2024-25 school year.

About Katie Corrie

Katie Corrie has been teaching, mentoring, and directing young people in the performing arts for 34 years. She hails from New York and has been in Central Florida for the past 17 years. In her career she has directed close to 300 plays and musicals. For ten years she owned SHINE in the Limelight, a performing arts school and production company that served thousands of Central Florida students. She has taught Drama in both private and public schools, and also directed productions at Orlando Family Stage, Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts and the Marshal Ellis Performing Arts Center. She is certified by the FL Dept of Education in Drama grades 6-12 and has her BA in Secondary Education English with a Minor in Theatre from the College of St. Rose in Albany NY. She lives in Longwood with her husband Steve, and has three adult children - also very active in the performing arts/education/ entertainment industry. She is thrilled to join the One School Family!
