WHAT IS THE AMAZING SHAKE?
The competition, inspired by the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, focuses on instilling essential life skills such as manners, discipline, respect, and professional conduct in our scholars. Over the course of three days, nearly 170 scholars will undergo a series of tests and challenges designed to hone their ability to engage with professionals from local businesses. The heart of the competition is "The Gauntlet," an innovative course featuring approximately 17 stations. At each station, students have 60 seconds to demonstrate their professional tact, hoping to earn the approval of community judges. Following this rigorous initial phase, the top 40 scholars will advance to subsequent rounds.
These rounds include "working the room" with executives, engaging in round-robin style speed questioning, and answering interview questions in challenging settings. The goal is to equip students with the skills and confidence needed to excel in professional interactions.

We are seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with various aspects of the Amazing Shake, including overseeing the Gauntlet stations, participating in judging activities, and contributing to additional rounds like the Circle of Doom, Work-A-Room, and executive lunch interviews. These elements are fundamental to the success of the Amazing Shake, and the event can truly be elevated with the involvement of professionals from our community. Our judges play a crucial role in enhancing the event by sharing their talents and experiences with those who stand to benefit the most.
