Did You Know?!

OSOTA has a thriving international program. Scholars from different countries have been attending our school for three solid academic years, and we continue to expand welcoming international students, as well as providing mission-based abroad opportunities for high school scholars such as the recent summer missions trip to Central America, El Salvador.

This coming winter season, we will be continuing our short-term international exchange program with students from South Korea.

For our South Korean students, we would like to invite all interested families to apply to be a host family for this group of children in grades 2nd - 7th. It is a hands-on, 7-week, educational and cultural experience that will leave lasting memories for everyone involved!

Winter Schooling Program 2018

  • Country: South Korea

  • Duration: January 4th (arrival date) - February 22 (departure date) in 2018 (7 WKS)

  • Age Range: 2nd to 7th grade

This is a wonderful opportunity for the students from overseas, and also for our scholars and families.

What is the Winter Schooling Program?

This program is created for international students to experience the American schooling system, in the most hands-on way possible.  One School partners with EDUUS, a Korean educational agency. International exchange students attend classes, participate in activities and do the work that is required of them during this time. Students also get to experience family life, after school and weekend culture, and American family values.

How to Get Involved?

First, please take the time to read the Q&A below to find out more information about the program, the responsibility of host families, and the expectation of exchange students and parents. Given our experience, and a successful program last year, we are confident that this will be an exciting and unforgettable time for both the international students and host families alike.

STEPS

  1. Read Q & A

  2. Complete Application

  3. Please provide a few pictures of your family and home with your application. As you can imagine, families in Korea are very curious about where their children will be living for the time they will be spending in the U.S.

Korean English Speaking Staff  is available 24 hours a day to assist with unexpected situations, any/all emergencies, as well as continue contact and updates to the families in Korea.
