Rising to Success 6th
Friday-Saturday, August 2nd-3rd | 6p-10a @ One School of the Arts
We are inviting your rising 6th grade OSOTA scholars to attend a truly amazing experience created just for them-- a lock-in, we call "Rising To Success: Escape from Elementary."
What to Expect
This experience will give our scholars the chance to build relationships before the start of the 2019-20 school year, to eliminate pressures, and provide engaging team exercises like an escape room, minute to win it games, as well as a times for goal setting and devotions. They will also have the opportunity to help build our new "Gaga Ball" pit and be the first to play in it. The opportunity to connect with teachers, counselors, and staff will strengthen our scholars’ confidence as they embark on a new school year.
From 6-7pm at drop-off, we will be holding a separate meeting for parents where we talk through the journey to maturity in middle school and give practical tools for a successful partnership. A huge portion of this maturing process is seeing growth in the prefrontal cortex or "decision maker" of our scholar's brains. We will discuss proven strategies to help maximize that growth.
Scholars will be spending the night on campus. Boys and girls will be split between buildings before bed time. Appropriate supervision will be in place for night time hours.
What to Bring
- Sleeping Bag & Pillow
- Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.)
NO CELLPHONES OR ELECTRONICS (GAMES, TOYS, ETC) PLEASE.
Snacks will be available.

Saturday, August 10th | 7a-6p @ Camp Geneva
We are inviting your rising 9th grade OSOTA scholars to attend a truly amazing experience created just for them.
What to Expect
People of Purpose ministries is hosting our 9th graders for a special time of growing in faith and relationships with each other. Camp Geneva will provide a fun backdrop for the days adventures.
Scholars will leave by bus from the school at 7am and be back at 6pm.
Lunch is provided.
What to Bring
- Swimsuit (full piece w/ cover, shorts)
- Towel
- Toiletries
- Bug Spray
- Sunscreen
- Bible
- Journal & Pen
- Sneakers
