1st Quarter Progress Reports

Progress Reports will be sent home this Friday, September 25th. You will be able view your child's grades from the 8/24-9/18 grading period. This is a great opportunity for One School and our OSOTA families to celebrate scholar achievements and progress while continuing to cultivate a culture that inspires to be challenged academically and personally.

Continue reading below for some helpful considerations while viewing your scholar's Progress Report.

WHY IS MY SCHOLAR'S SCHOOLOGY GRADE DIFFERENT THAN WHAT IS ON HIS/HER REPORT CARDS?

Grades on Schoology should reflect the most current grade and Progress Reports will only show the grade received at the end of the grading period. Our grading period for this progress report began on 8/24 and ended on 9/18. If your scholar received additional grades after the grading period had ended, then their schoology grade will result different.  Please email your scholar's teacher if you have any questions about his or her grade.

WHAT IS GLOW AND GROW AND HOW IS THAT DIFFERENT FROM GENERAL COMMENTS.

On the reverse side of each Progress Report,  your scholar's teachers (typically their homeroom teacher) can describe areas where your scholar have met or exceeded expectations (GLOW) and areas where we encourage continual growth (GROW). GLOW and GROW is not limited to academic assessment, but can include behavioral and character observations.

Your scholar may receive additional comment for specific classes as well. Those comments can be found either in GLOW or GROW or in the comment box located on the left side of their grade.

If your scholar has receieved a failing grade, teachers will provide a brief comment regarding the low score.
