One School of the Arts celebrates the performing arts through a dynamic in-house band and orchestra, music and dance, and a vibrant theatre program. Scholars of all ages participate in seasonal performances, concerts, and productions.
Scholars participate in all-inclusive fall and spring productions, with two productions that will focus on our elementary and middle school scholars. As of 2017-2018, high school scholars will belong to the International Thespian Society, enabling them to compete on a regional, state, and national level in both performance and technical theatre.
All 5th through 12th graders have the opportunity to learn to
play an instrument during the school day. Band and Orchestra differs from the general music class in that the class remains for the entire school year and scholars develop greater proficiency over a longer period of time.
MUSIC AND CHORUS
Music at OSOTA focuses on rhythm, style, vocal proficiency, and more. Scholars in all grades have the opportunity to discover song through ensembles, solos, chorus as well band performances and jam sessions.
