The 2017-2018 season brings a new vision to the Theatre Department. In addition to our all-inclusive fall and spring productions, this year we are adding two productions that will focus on our elementary and middle school scholars. For the high school scholars, we will be joining the International Thespian Society. Through our ITS troupe high school scholars will be able to compete on a regional, state, and national level in both performance and technical theatre as well as continuing with LCS this year.

Along with a new production season structure, OSOTA will be offering scholars grades 3 through 12 the opportunity to be involved in drama, acting, and technical theatre classes. With these offerings we are able to provide opportunities for scholars to participate in a strong co-curricular production program that applies the creative principles and skills learned in the classroom to fully mounted faculty-directed theatre productions. Throughout the school year, scholars can take part in workshops, scene readings, trips to local theatrical performances, and technical training sessions.  As with all we do at One School of the Arts, the new theatre department will develop within theatre scholars a sense of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in the theatre field.
